Explore the LLH Barn Quilt Trail

Discover the charm of LLH by strolling or driving your golf cart through our neighborhoods to enjoy the vibrant Barn Quilt Trail. These beautifully painted quilt squares can be found on homes and buildings throughout the community, each one telling a unique story.

Many of the designs are created using bold geometric patterns and are rich with meaning—honoring the history of the land, the legacy of a family, or simply celebrating a homeowner’s favorite things. While some blocks reflect traditional Appalachian motifs, others are playful, whimsical, and even quirky—each one inspired by the spirit of everyday mountain life.

These barn quilts not only add color and character to LLH, but also serve as a meaningful way to share our community’s stories and keep the heritage of Appalachian craftsmanship alive. Many of the quilt blocks on the trail were lovingly created by LLH’s own Rodney Jones.
