There’s something truly magical about summer in the North Carolina mountains—and nowhere is that more evident than in Linville Land Harbor during Fourth of July weekend. This year, the community is pulling out all the stops with a 3-day celebration packed full of activities, music, games, and patriotic fun for all ages.
Whether you’re a year-round resident or visiting for the holiday, this is your chance to experience the heart and soul of LLH—where neighbors become friends, and memories are made.
π° Theme: Life is a Fairy Tale
π July 3rd: Kickoff to the Celebration
Start the festivities bright and early with the Kid’s Fishing Derby at The Point, followed by the always-popular Cornhole Tournament near the Yacht Launch. In the afternoon, take your pick between the family-friendly Heroes Party at the Pool and the 21+ Villains Party at the Beach. Costumes, music, and good times are guaranteed!
π July 4th: The Main Event
The Fourth of July is packed from morning to night:

9:15 AM – Golf Cart Parade Registration at Overlook Park

10:15 AM – Parade Begins! Watch the decorated carts roll through with flair

11:00 AM – Inflatables & Games at the Landing

1:00 PM – Cake Walk at the Rec Complex

2:30 PM – Color War at the Point

3:00 PM – Lifeguard Pie Toss

4:00 PM – Pet Parade πΎ

4:30 PM – Costume Contest at the Landing for all ages

5:00 PM – Live music by Blue Country Band

7:15 PM – Johnson Brothers perform live

9:15 PM – π Fireworks Finale!
It’s a full day of laughter, music, fun, and celebration, ending with a dazzling display lighting up the mountain sky.
π July 5th: Keep the Fun Going
After the big day, there’s still more fun in store:

8:30 AM – Lake Swim Race by age group

10:00 AM – Sandcastle Contest at the Beach (sign up at 9:50 AM)

11:00 AM–1:00 PM – Crafts & Games for the whole family
